The celebration of San Giuseppe was held Saturday March 17th. San Giuseppe falls on March 19th and is also Father’s Day in Italy. Since March 17th is also St. Patrick’s day around the world, some people showed up in green to mark the occasion. After dinner we were treated to traditional Zeppole di San Giuseppe made by Lucia Brunetto, followed by a birthday celebration for Carmela Sanita. The excellent birthday cake was baked by a relative, who with his brother runs La Casa Dolce bakery on The Queesnway.
