Special preparations are underway for the 200th anniversary of the Madonna del Carmine taking place in Roseto Valfortore the last Sunday in July of 2025.
The Madonna is being restored and will be arriving back in Roseto by helicopter on June 29, 2024. An outdoor mass outside of San Rocco’s church will follow the arrival of the Madonna.
On October 16, 2024 the Madonna will be taken to Saint Peter Square in Rome where she will be coronated by Pope Francis followed by a procession.
The Madonna will be accompanied to Rome by Don Stefano (Roseto’s parish priest) and the people of Roseto.
