In Italy Pasquetta is celebrated the Monday after Easter, typically involving getting together with friends, and perhaps a picnic. We celebrated the Saturday after Easter, getting together with friends at the club, and having an “indoors picnic”. Connie De Santis prepared a novel napkin design, with two eyes glued onto the napkins and then the napkins folded to present the eyes looking through the wine glass at each place setting, and ears poking out the top of the glass. Our second course for the evening was our Picnic Basket, featuring roast lamb and potatoes, served with two salads.
