Despite the threat of rain many came out for great day with friends and family, enjoying food and games, along with face painting for the children, and some adults. Note this page contains multiple galleries and embedded YouTube videos.
First up in the games were the sack races. We had three classes, children under 8, children over eight, and open.
Tug of War was next up after the Sack Races, followed by the water balloon toss.
After this came the annual egg toss. No boiled eggs this time, and we ended up having the remaining three toss their eggs overhand, as they were getting too good at catching the eggs without breaking them. This resulted in a tie.
Afterwards all the children got prizes, we enjoyed some fresh corn, and of course the annual Watermelon Eating Contest, where the rules are no hands, and down to the white, with no pink remaining.
