On December 6, 2023, Electrical Engineering and Energy Engineering undergraduates (37), professors (3) and researchers (2) from the Polytechnic of Bari arrived in Roseto, accompanied by Professor Maria Di Corato. The group was welcomed by Mayor Lucilla Parisi and Enzo Antonio D’Avanzo, President of the Renewable Energy Community (C.E.R.)
A request for an information meeting was made by Professor Di Corato to the President of C.E.R. regarding our Renewable Energy Community. Our Friendly Power contact for practices, design, and assemble, Dr. Vincenzo Raffa, was present to illustrated to the students the technical, economic, and financial aspects of our project, the community benefits, and the problems encountered in the implementation of the C-E.R. It was a real informative course on the functioning of Energy Communities with ours being the first to be established in Puglia, in July 2021, followed by the first photovoltaic plant in operation since January 2023.
Then the students took a tour of Roseto guided by the President of the CER. They visited historical places and listening to the stories related to them. We are very happy to have been able to show our town to the students and share with them our CER project to both of which they showed great interest and curiosity.
It was a huge satisfaction and honour for our community to have had the Polytechnic of Bari as our guest, and it was also a way to make our town Roseto Valfortore, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, known in a new guise. Despite its small size our high ecology town produces energy from both wind and solar preventing millions of cubic meters of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere. The microclimate of our town makes it a unique and liveable town.
Il Politecnico di Bari a Roseto Valfortore
Il giorno 6 di dicembre arriva a Roseto il Politecnico di Bari, 37 Laureandi 3 docenti e due ricercatori, ed esattamente laureandi in Ingegneria Elettrica e Ingegneria Energetica accompagnati dalla Professoressa Maria Di Corato. Il gruppo è stato accolto dalla Sindaca Lucilla Parisi e dal Presidente della Comunità Energetica Rinnovabile, Enzo Antonio D’Avanzo
La Professoressa Di Corato ha aveva chiesto al Presidente della C.E.R. un incontro informativo sulla nostra Comunità Energetica Rinnovabile, era presente per la Friendly Power, nostro referente per pratiche, progettazioni e montaggi, il dott. Vincenzo Raffa, che ha illustrato ai ragazzi gli aspetti tecnici ed economico finanziari del progetto che stiamo realizzando, i benefici comunitari, e i problemi incontrati per l’attuazione della C-E.R. Un vero e proprio corso informativo sul funzionamento delle Comunità Energetiche. La nostra è la prima costituita in Puglia, nel luglio del 2021, col primo impianto fotovoltaico in esercizio già a gennaio 2023.
Poi, insieme al Presidente della CER, i ragazzi hanno fatto un giro del Paese, visitando i luoghi storici ed ascoltando i racconti ad essi collegati. Siamo molto contenti di aver potuto raccontare la CER ed il paese ai ragazzi, che hanno dimostrato grande interesse e curiosità.
Una enorme soddisfazione ed onore per la nostra Comunità aver avuto come ospite il Politecnico di Bari ed anche un modo per far conoscere il nostro paese Roseto Valfortore, uno dei Borghi più belli d’Italia, in una nuova veste pur essendo una piccola comunità, non solo un paese ad alta ecologia, ma addirittura con la produzione di energia sia dall’eolico che dal solare riesce a evitare che milioni di metri cubi di anidride carbonica venga immessa in atmosfera, paese che con il suo microclima è un paese unico e da vivere.
