Today was a very special day for Roseto and Rosetani throughout the world. Our Madonna del Carmine was blessed at the Vatican by Pope Francis, marking the first time in the history of Roseto that a pontiff blessed one of our statues. The statue was accompanied by Parish Priest Don Stefano, Mayor Lucilla Parisi, the organizing festa committee, people living in Roseto and other parts. Pictures and videos of the general Wednesday audience with Pope Francis are included, plus a video of the Madonna’s triumphant return to her home Parish in Roseto.
A year of celebration for the 200th anniversary of the arrival of the Madonna in Roseto will be starting with the biggest celebration taking place on the last Sunday in July 2025.
