Saturday November 11th we celebrated San Martino with a nice dinner, along with a wine maker’s competition. For some reason only four winemakers brought their wares for the competition. After the blind tasting by a volunteer panel Mario Giannasca was declared the winner, with Gaetano Maffei coming in second and Joe LaGatta third. Thanks to all who brought wines for the competition, and we hope to see more next year.
After dinner, we had a special toast with an Amaro (a traditional after dinner liqueur) with everyone there that evening sharing the meal and camaraderie to “Good health, much happiness and friendship”.
